James Bond is a fast-paced, fun card game that usually takes less than 3 minutes. This can be played with younger and older players, so it is a perfect fun family game for diverse age groups. Since it is so fast, it is a great game to play on game nights that get cut short by soccer practice or late-night homework.
FOr 2, 3, or 4 players.
Requires:
For this card game, you will need 1 deck of cards, no jokers.
Set up:
Shuffle the cards, then deal into 13 piles of 4 cards each without looking at them. You should have zero cards remaining.
- For 2 players – give each player 6 piles face down and place one pile in the center face down.
- For 3 players – give each player 4 piles face down and place one pile in the center face down.
- For 4 players – give each player 3 piles face down and place one pile in the center face down.
Goal – To be the first player with all of their piles face up with four of a kind.
Play:
The dealer deals the four cards in the center face up.
For this card game, there are no turns. Each player picks up one of their piles, exchanging up to 4 cards from the center. Their goal is to exchange their cards to get four of a kind, for example, four sixes or four kings. A player can only view one of their piles at a time and must turn the pile upside down before moving to the next pile. The player can view any of their piles in any order.
When the player has a four of a kind, they turn that pile right side up and cannot use it for the rest of the game.
When all of a player’s piles are face up with four-of-a-kind, that player can shout “James Bond” to end the game. The first player with all their piles face up, who calls out “James Bond,” is the winner.
